STILL LIFE

We had a wonderful art class this month!
I decided to go with soft pastels and a still life piece of art. Above are my samples as it was my first time working with this medium.
I was a bit worried due to how messy it can be and the kids smearing their pieces of art. But they turned out awesome!
They were very proud of themselves!
Here are about half of my class projects.

Fun4thebrain.com

Kayla is pictured here next to her winning monster creation. It is the big blue circle with one eye, second from the right.

What fun! The girls enjoy practicing their math skills on fun4thebrain.com. A while ago they entered a contest to create a monster character for the site for a new game called MURB. Which I believe it stands for... Monsters Under Rosie's Bed. Above is Kayla's original creation, Lollipop, before it was animated for the computer animation.

She is pictured above next to her monster creation. Hers is the pinkish orange triangle in the middle with one eye.
A closer look. It makes it a delight to practice their math facts while seeing their creations!
Above is Pickles, Shae's creation, before its computer animation.

Memories for a life time!

We had a great visit with grams! This picture pretty much states her personality!
She had been sticking her tongue out at various family members this past week if she didn't agree with what they said.
This is my favorite picture! She is hanging in there with her leg all bandaged up and cancer in full swing. She said that now that she is 90 years old... that any day pass 90 is a blessing.

Coming Soon!

Our rehearsals are in full swing! Hope you can come to the show!
April 29th & 30th
The girls are getting a bit more excited each day!

Captain Squire!
She looks so serious!

She is beside herself to be Polly Parrot!

OMG!

So, we went to Texas Road House for some good eats the other night and they had a balloon guy there. He asks the girls what they would like him to make. Her response was a "fairy." Well, when all said and done .... here it was. Ha,ha,ha,ha! And why the enormous boobs we wonder?! How weird is that! A grown man creates this for a young girl. How embarrassing! Kayla requested them be removed immediately!
